What You’ll Do

  • Proficiency in CAD design (Part modeling, assemblies, drafting, and drawing creation) - Siemens NX ideally or similar 

  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and engineering fundamentals 

  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) 

  • Familiarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles 

  • Competent in using other engineering design tools such as FEA/FEM 

  • Familiarity with PLM systems (TeamCenter) 

  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration 

  • Time management and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously 

  • Competent in the generation of technical documentation

 

Requirements

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering 

  • 3+ years design experience in a precision engineering environment 

  • Strong foundational knowledge of designing products for survivability 

  • Advantageous to have worked in the design of aerospace or mil spec products and systems 

  • Experience working with technical suppliers to ensure products design requirements 

  • Experience in working with products across its full life cycle
