Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Mission Simulation Engineer to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space SAU. This role involves the design, development, testing, and maintenance of complex mission simulators, contributing to the validation and verification of advanced aerospace systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and implement mission simulation models for complex aerospace systems, including aircraft and spacecraft.

  • Lead the integration of subsystems within simulation environments, ensuring interoperability and performance.

  • Conduct comprehensive simulator testing to ensure accuracy, fidelity, and compliance with operational requirements.

  • Identify and resolve technical issues, optimizing simulation performance and stability.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including systems, software, and hardware engineers.

  • Participate in defining simulation architectures and selecting appropriate technologies.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation development processes and methodologies.

  • Provide technical support and training to simulator users.

  • Document simulation design, implementation, and results.

SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in developing and testing mission simulators or real-time systems within the aerospace or defense industry.

  • Strong experience with programming languages ​​such as C++.

  • In-depth knowledge of simulation architectures, physical modeling, and system integration techniques.

  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, etc.) and development environments.

  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems and data communication protocols.

  • Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment and lead technical projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

  • Advanced level of Spanish and English (spoken and written).

  • Knowledge of aerospace industry standards (e.g., ARINC, DO-178C, DO-254) will be considered an asset.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance if required.

Buscamos un Ingeniero de Simulación de Misión Senior para unirse a nuestro equipo en Airbus Defence and Space SAU. Este rol implicará el diseño, desarrollo, pruebas y mantenimiento de simuladores de misión complejos, contribuyendo a la validación y verificación de sistemas aeroespaciales avanzados.

RESPONSABILIDADES

  • Diseñar, desarrollar e implementar modelos de simulación de misión para sistemas aeroespaciales complejos, incluyendo aeronaves y vehículos espaciales.

  • Liderar la integración de subsistemas en entornos de simulación, asegurando la interoperabilidad y el rendimiento.

  • Realizar pruebas exhaustivas de los simuladores para garantizar su precisión, fidelidad y cumplimiento de los requisitos operativos.

  • Identificar y resolver problemas técnicos, optimizando el rendimiento y la estabilidad de las simulaciones.

  • Colaborar estrechamente con equipos multidisciplinarios, incluyendo ingenieros de sistemas, software y hardware.

  • Participar en la definición de arquitecturas de simulación y la selección de tecnologías apropiadas.

  • Contribuir a la mejora continua de procesos y metodologías de desarrollo de simulaciones.

  • Proporcionar soporte técnico y formación a los usuarios de los simuladores.

  • Documentar el diseño, la implementación y los resultados de las simulaciones.

REQUERIMIENTOS

  • Licenciatura o Máster en Ingeniería Aeroespacial, Informática, Telecomunicaciones o campo relacionado.

  • Mínimo de 5 años de experiencia relevante en el desarrollo y pruebas de simuladores de misión o sistemas en tiempo real en la industria aeroespacial o de defensa.

  • Sólida experiencia en lenguajes de programación como C++.

  • Conocimiento profundo de arquitecturas de simulación, modelado físico y técnicas de integración de sistemas.

  • Experiencia con herramientas de simulación (p. ej., MATLAB/Simulink, etc.) y entornos de desarrollo.

  • Familiaridad con sistemas operativos en tiempo real y protocolos de comunicación de datos.

  • Capacidad demostrada para trabajar en un entorno de equipo multidisciplinario y liderar proyectos técnicos.

  • Excelentes habilidades de comunicación interpersonal y escrita.

  • Nivel avanzado de español e inglés (hablado y escrito).

  • Se valorará positivamente el conocimiento de estándares de la industria aeroespacial (p. ej., ARINC, DO-178C, DO-254).

  • Capacidad para obtener y mantener una habilitación de seguridad si es necesario.
