Mission Brief

You will join our team on the beautiful arctic island of Andøya to support the local Operations Team with Testing and Launching our Spectrum Rocket by working on process improvements surrounding Integrated Systems Testing and Launch Campaigns. A special focus will be on modelling Pad behaviour based on collected data, compare real-life results with simulations to confirm or improve base assumptions taken in design, and thus enable virtual testing of procedure and hardware changes.

While doing so, you will gain insight into Isar’s mission to build independent and reliable access to space from mainland Europe.

Your Role in Our Space Mission:

  • Test and Launch Campaigns: Support the Launch Operations Team in testing and launching our Spectrum vehicle; from preparatory work, over ensuring pad readiness, to preparing the vehicle in AIT and on the Pad
  • Process Improvement: Support the development and improvement of procedures and processes to ensure smooth, safe and efficient operations
  • Simulation and Data Evaluation: Replicate Pad behavior in computer models and evaluate real-life data from past campaigns
  • High Quality Standards: Maintain high quality standards while handling flight hardware and working on systems interfacing with the launch vehicle
