At Alpine Eagle, we’re building the future of counter-drone defence. We’re a fast-growing, international deep-tech company working at the intersection of aerospace engineering, defence systems, and machine learning. Our goal: create the world’s first swarm-based, airborne counter-drone system.

Modern conflicts show how quickly drones are reshaping the battlefield. Threats are rising, and today’s solutions aren’t keeping pace. We’re here to change that.

Alpine Eagle isn’t just a defence company. It’s a mission. Backed by an international team, strong funding, and a bold vision, we’re looking for people who want to shape the next generation of aerial security and build something that truly matters.

🎯 How you will make an impact:

The C-UAS Mission Management System Team is designing the user interface for our airborne and ground-based products which include both sensor networks and effectors.  The user interface offers a unique capability to control a multi agent based fleet of assets. It allows for mission planning and simulation, mission operation and control, situational awareness and damage assessment. You will run a team of software developers to further improve and develop the existing product, its features and interfaces.  You will be hands-on, develop and optimize, drive the architecture, and collaborate with other teams to deliver next-generation drone solutions.

In particular, you will:

  • Lead and mentor a cross‑functional engineering team, fostering strong performance, growth, and a high‑quality engineering culture.

  • Own the full lifecycle of the Mission Management System UI, from requirements and design to implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Define and evolve the system architecture to ensure scalability, modularity, resilience, and seamless integration with sensors, effectors, C2 systems, and third‑party assets.

  • Collaborate with product, systems engineering, UX, and hardware teams to translate operational needs into intuitive and reliable user interfaces.

  • Ensure engineering excellence through clean coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, and efficient development workflows.

  • Shape the product roadmap by identifying new features, improvements, and technology opportunities that enhance mission effectiveness and operator experience.

  • Conduct technical reviews, develop proof‑of‑concepts, and guide decisions on frameworks, libraries, and tools.

  • Support integration and field testing, validating performance in realistic operational environments and participating in flight operations.

  • Champion usability, safety, and reliability in mission‑critical scenarios.Drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of innovation, transparency, and collaboration.

What you need to be successful:

  • Strong background in software engineering (5+ years), including technical leadership and modern UI + backend development.
  • Experience in UAS mission planning, drone operations, or related domains such as robotics, autonomous systems, or C2/C4ISR.
  • Solid understanding of distributed systems, real‑time data processing, and high‑availability architectures.
  • Familiarity with defence‑related standards and tools (e.g., Sapient, STANAG 4586, ATAK, SitaWare).
  • Ability to translate mission and user requirements into intuitive UI/UX and guide teams through complex technical decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and fluent English; defence‑system integration experience is a strong plus
