We are seeking an experienced and strategically-minded Business Development Lead to spearhead our growth and penetration within the Germany defence sector. This role demands deep knowledge of the Germany's defence procurement landscape, an extensive network of defence-sector relationships, and the strategic vision to navigate complex procurement processes effectively.

🎯 How you will make an impact:

  • Lead the creation and execution of Alpine Eagle’s strategic business development plan specifically tailored for Germany's defence market.
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain critical relationships within key ministries, defence procurement bodies, armed forces stakeholders, major primes, OEMs, and relevant system integrators in Germany.
  • Navigate and influence Germany's defence procurement frameworks and policies, ensuring Alpine Eagle's alignment and compliance with local procurement regulations and practices. 
  • Proactively anticipate and strategically respond to shifts in Germany's geopolitical and regulatory landscape, advising internal stakeholders accordingly.
  • Drive and oversee capture strategies for critical procurement opportunities, including bid strategies, teaming arrangements, and proposal development.
  • Act as Alpine Eagle’s primary representative at national industry events, defence expos, and governmental engagements, serving as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador.

What you need to be successful:

  • 8+ years of proven success in business development or capture management roles within the German defence sector, ideally with experience in aerospace or defence technologies.
  • Extensive understanding and hands-on experience navigating Germany's defence procurement frameworks and processes.
  • An established network within key defence and governmental institutions in Germany.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic growth initiatives, driving meaningful engagement and long-term business partnerships.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Fluency in English and German is essential.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a dynamic scale-up environment.
  • Availability and willingness to travel frequently within Germany and occasionally internationally.
