Job Description:

An opportunity for a Production Control Team Leader has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the A400M MRO and Retrofit Program Team within the Operations department. The department is in charge of delivering customer products on time, cost, and quality by managing logistics flows and components for assembly activities.

The jobholder will lead the Production Control team and work in close collaboration with overall multi-functional TOAR teams located across Getafe, Sevilla, Manching, and Wunstorf to drive continuous improvement and eliminate non-quality costs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

  • Ensure material availability: Guarantee work orders, parts, and materials arrive at the assembly line in the proper time, form, and quantity to meet production plans.

  • Monitor production and logistics: Follow production plan progress while defining and implementing optimized logistics flows for component supply.

  • Manage team and resources: Lead the Production Control Team, optimizing resource allocation, motivating staff, and translating Airbus strategy into clear operational activities.

  • Drive operational efficiency: Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies focused on waste elimination and cost-of-non-quality reduction.

  • Consolidate service activities: Oversee the organization and integration of heterogeneous service activities within the plant.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Programs, Procurement, and Customer Services across international sites (Getafe, Sevilla, Manching, Wunstorf) in line with the Airbus Leadership Model.

  • Education: Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical, Industrial, or a related discipline).

  • Experience: Demonstrated experience working within an Industrial environment.

  • Soft skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high flexibility, proactive mindset, and strong capability for multi-functional team-working.

  • Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken).

  • Technical knowledge: Production control management, supply chain/logistics flow optimization, and resource allocation strategies.

  • Valuable / Nice to have: Previous leadership or team management experience within aerospace, MRO, or manufacturing environments.
